No. Praiwan Raft House offers fan-cooled accommodation only. The rooms are designed for natural ventilation and an authentic floating raft house experience surrounded by rainforest and Cheow Lan Lake.

Do the rooms have private bathrooms?

Yes. Both Deluxe Rooms and Family Rooms have private en-suite bathrooms with showers. Shared bathroom facilities are used only by guests staying in the separate Hut accommodation area. Hut rooms are not included in the packages we offer.

What is the difference between Deluxe and Family Rooms?

Both room types are fan-cooled and have private en-suite bathrooms. Deluxe Rooms are ideal for couples or two travelers, while Family Rooms provide more space and are suitable for families or small groups.

Can I see wild elephants at Praiwan Raft House?

Possibly — if you're lucky. Praiwan is located beside rainforest habitat where wild Asian elephants occasionally move along the shoreline, and elephants have sometimes been seen directly behind the raft house.However, they are completely wild animals and do not appear every day. Sightings are never guaranteed.

Are the elephants wild?

Yes. They are free-roaming wild Asian elephants living naturally in the surrounding forest. They are not kept, fed or brought to the resort for tourists.

How close is Praiwan to Coral Cave?

Praiwan is located very close to the Coral Cave Landing Pier. The boat journey is approximately 2–5 minutes, followed by a guided rainforest walk and traditional bamboo raft journey to Coral Cave.

How long is the boat journey from Ratchaprapha Pier?

The journey from Ratchaprapha Pier to Praiwan Raft House is approximately 60–65 minutes by longtail boat, depending on weather, water level and lake conditions.

Can I swim or kayak at the resort?

Yes. Guests can enjoy the lake directly from the floating resort, including swimming and kayaking when weather and lake conditions are suitable.

What meals are included?

Overnight packages include meals according to the selected itinerary. Meals are generally served at the resort restaurant and feature Thai-style dishes. Please inform us in advance about vegetarian or other dietary requirements.

Is Praiwan suitable for families with children?

Yes. Family Rooms with private en-suite bathrooms make Praiwan a practical choice for families. Parents should supervise children closely around the floating walkways and lake at all times.

Is electricity available all night?

Are wild elephant sightings guaranteed?
